Common questions about OpposingTrade.
These are the high-level answers most new players, traders, and early beta users ask before they join contests or build a profile.
Is OpposingTrade using real trading performance?
Yes. Trader profiles can be connected to imported or verified performance data, and contests score off normalized performance updates inside OpposingTrade.
Do players trade real money in contests?
Players pay entry fees and compete in fantasy-style contests. They are not placing brokerage trades through the platform.
Can one trader be drafted by many players?
Yes. A trader can appear in many lineups across the same contest unless a future contest format says otherwise.
How are payouts determined?
Each contest has a payout structure. After settlement, final ranks are locked and payout amounts are calculated from the contest's prize pool and payout rules.
Do traders use raw imported account names publicly?
No. OpposingTrade uses trader display names on public cards, contest surfaces, leaderboard rows, and profile pages.
Can I add my phone number during signup?
Yes. Mobile number is optional. You can choose a country, enter a number, and optionally consent to receive SMS alerts from OpposingTrade.
